Otoplasty is the corrective surgery to correct abnormal ear structure due to misshaped or protruding ears. Although adults can undergo the surgery, most patients are children aged four to 14.
Otoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure, which means that patients can go home on the same day as the surgery. The recovery time is usually minimal, and patients can typically return to work or school within a week after the surgery.
