Brachioplasty surgery, also known as an arm lift, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that is used to remove excess skin and fat from the upper arm area. Brachioplasty surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes several hours to complete. Patients can expect some discomfort, swelling, and bruising in the days following the procedure and will need to wear compression garments on their arms to minimize swelling and promote healing. Recovery time can vary depending on the extent of the procedure and the individual’s overall health, but most patients are able to return to work and other activities within two to three weeks.
